First Edition Magazine Sketch (Iasmyna)

I have created a rough sketch based on what I want my final magazine front covers and contents pages to look like. These have helped me in my planning stage for creating these covers and content pages. Following my audience research that concluded my magazine name, I have started to develop sketches for my magazines. Flourish will be written at the very top of the magazine as a masthead. While the sketches I have produced show this title to be in a basic, rough font, this will not be the case for my final magazine covers as this was just a plan to establish my ideal compositions etc. I hope my final magazine cover for both editions will have Flourish written in the Vogue font as chosen by my target demographic. For this edition, I hope to have the masthead written in a black or white coloured font, depending on what I think suits the cover best once I have taken the photos that will be used for the main image and other images within the contents page. Flourish will be typed in all capitals. The main cover line will be 'IASMYNA'S WARDROBE Her top picks for Autumn' as this issue will feature my model Iasymna. This links to my target persona's interests of fashion. My smaller cover lines- although I have not yet planned these- will also relate to the interests of my target market. To ensure this occurs, when writing out my cover lines I will relate back to the research I conducted.

The main image for this edition will be a mid-shot of my model Iasmyna seen wearing a black or white outfit with a pale / neutral background to ensure that the main focus is Iasmyna and what she is wearing. As I want the colour palette for this issue to be black and white with hints of red, I will ensure that Iasmyna will be wearing red lipstick with natural makeup and red nail polish on her nails. This main image will meet the requirement for different social groups represented as Iasmyna's nationality is Romanian. In terms of cross media convergence, I will have the website placed on both the front cover and contents page as well as social media information on the contents page. The price of the magazine will be in a puff and Hearst will be featured near the barcode. The date will be featured on the left hand side below the title Flourish. My contents page for this edition will be set out the same as my second edition with the exception of the images being flipped around to the opposite side. The fonts size and style will remain the same throughout to ensure continuity. The larger image on this contents page will be from Iasmyna's photo shoot and the smaller image will be featuring a photo shoot with a different model called Lilly - a white, British female. This photo shoot will show Lilly in a natural setting wearing formal attire such as a dress or tailored clothes. The varied fashion styles shown throughout my images will ensure that my magazine appeals to a large amount of people within my target demographic.
