There are a range of women's lifestyle centred magazines that are available globally within the magazine market. A majority of these have famous celebrities featured on their front covers and have stories within the magazine including exclusive interviews with the celebrity and fashion lifestyle based stories. An example of this is the edition of the fashion magazine 'Bazaar' that features English actor Vanessa Kirby on the front cover of the magazine. This front cover conforms to the generic conventions of magazine front covers as it features a large main image that shows just one person- who in this case is famous, further conforming to generic conventions. The cover lines placed around Vanessa Kirby talk about current topics such as popular TV shows (in this case The Crown) which is relevant to my target audience as this is a topic current 16-25 year old's are typically passionate about in 2022, meaning I may want to include a cover line like this in my magazines. Furthermore, the masthead at the top of the magazine is placed behind Vanessa Kirby's head which puts an emphasis on the actor and what she is wearing, further conforming to women's fashion magazine conventions. The colour palette of the magazine front cover is a range of pastel hues which makes the magazine seem well established as all of the elements of the front cover work together and compliment each other. Bazaar's target audience comprises women ranging from their late twenties to their early sixties, mainly employed in professional roles. According to Hearst they are 'culturally discerning, enjoy travelling and are prepared to spend money on bespoke luxury experiences'. This target audience is older than the target audience of my magazine which hints that my magazine will have to exclude certain elements from Bazaar in order to appeal to my younger target audience.

To the right is the contents page of the same Bazaar edition. The masthead of the magazine is also featured at the top of the contents page which emphasises the brand and identity of the magazine 'Bazaar'. The masthead also seems to be one of the main features of the contents page as it is placed largely at the top of the page and is in a pastel pink font against a white background which is similar to the typography on the front cover, linking the two pages together. The date of the magazine is made to be in a small font below the logo which shows that it is not the main priority of the contents page. However, it is in a bold font and matches the colour theme of the page (pink hues and black) so it is easily spotted. Around the main image of the page there are many cover lines divided into categories such as 'ON THE COVER', 'STYLE' and 'FASHION' which is typical of a content page. All of the categories as well as the date stick to the same colour scheme throughout which makes the contents page seem well established and thought out.
